John Kerry's allegedly hard-hitting anti-Bush speech at New York University this morning triggers memories of 1978, when UK Labour party point man Denis Healey sat through a House of Commons attack from Conservative member Geoffrey Howe.

Healey was unimpressed: "Like being savaged by a dead sheep."
